This letter is sent to you in support of my student, Daniel Klane.
Daniel has been a student at Georgian Court University where I teach in the Religious
Studies-Theology Department. Over the last several years I have had the opportunity to know and
observe Daniel in numerous ways: in the classroom, across campus and in his interactions with
other students. My observations of him, as well as my own interchanges with him have always led
me to see him as a leader and trustworthy member of the campus community.
Daniel has impressed me with his sincerity and commitment. Perhaps, most importandy for
me has been his sensitivity and constant concern for people. I have seen that in his relationships
wuth students in class, in his eagerness to be of help to another student who has not grasped or
understood a point in the class material. I have observed it in his concern for my recendy deceased
mother-in-law. For over a year he was constant in his inquiries about her declining health in a
manner that led him to share his own experiences with his grandfather.
It is with full confidence that I write this letter of support for Daniel. He deserves to move
on with his life and every effort that I or others can spare to assist him with that will be well spent.
He is interested in teaching. I have seen him do that so naturally with others on campus and in the
classroom. I am sure that he will do the same as a professional educator himself. He deserves our
support so that he can make the contribution I know is his to make.
